About the Author
Jonathan Edward Durham was born in Eastern Pennsylvania where he read voraciously through his youth and beyond. He studied literature at William and Mary while pursuing a degree in neuroscience, and now writes to bridge the wonder of his favorite childhood books with the pop sensibilities of the classic thrillers he grew up with. He still lives in the Lehigh Valley with his husband and a house full of animals.

"An engaging and energetically written literary horror story"--Kirkus Reviews
"A symphonic masterpiece of literature... this book isn't like anything you've read before and is more than you could ever imagine. An exquisite blend of horror, suspense, and fantasy, Winterset Hollow is as wildly unique as it is unequivocally unforgettable!" --Indies Today
"Jonathan Edward Durham has crafted a masterful work of fiction that transcends all its many sub-genres to become a monster of its own making. Compelling like a Stephen King thriller, but with all the disturbing emotional complexities of Lord of the Flies, Winterset Hollow is a must-read for anyone looking to be chilled to the bone." --Reader's Favorite, KC Finn
"Winterset Hollow is one of the most interesting books I've read in years...astonishingly powerful and multilayered! It's like you're sitting on a long by a pleasant pond, dabbling your toes, and then you see a dark shape in the water...then another...and while you're holding your breath, suddenly you realize the log you're sitting on...is...moving!"--Diana Gabaldon, New York Times bestselling author of Outlander
"Winterset Hollow is the rarest kind of masterpiece and one of the most original works of horror that I've ever read. Jonathan Edward Durham has created something truly special.
Winterset Hollow wears the skin of a children's classic, but its blood and bones are dark as hell. Its cast of Beatrix Potter-esque characters are drawn so beautifully, they'll live in my head forever. Phineas Fox is, hands down, one of my favourite characters of all time.
For a debut novel, this is beyond impressive."
