This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in organized chaos, loves solving problems, and wants a front-row seat to the pace and energy of startup life.

You’ll work directly with the CEO to manage communications, scheduling, and day-to-day priorities, helping free up his time so he can focus on growing the business. The right person is deeply reliable, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and thrives when given autonomy in a fast-changing environment. No task is too small or too complex — your superpower is bringing calm, clarity, and momentum to whatever lands in front of you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize multiple inboxes and calendars with discretion, efficiency, and clear communication
  • Draft, edit, and send email correspondence on behalf of the CEO
  • Prioritize and triage requests, keeping the CEO focused on what matters most each day
  • Act as a gatekeeper and liaison, ensuring smooth communication across internal and external stakeholders
  • Handle administrative tasks and special projects that increase bandwidth for the executive team
  • Step in on operational or organizational tasks as needed, especially during high-growth periods
  • Track follow-ups and maintain systems that ensure nothing falls through the cracks

Who You Are:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an assistant or operations role
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a natural ability to manage multiple moving parts
  • Exceptional written communicator, capable of drafting polished and professional correspondence
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable handling sensitive information
  • Proactive and resourceful — you don’t wait to be told what to do, you find ways to make things run better
  • Thrive in ambiguity and fast-changing environments — you stay grounded and solutions-focused when plans shift
  • Excited about working closely with a high-velocity founder and supporting a growing company with a creative, cultural edge

Additional Details:

  • This is a full-time role with some flexibility, ideally based in Los Angeles
  • We operate on a hybrid schedule, with the team in our Santa Monica office three days a week
  • Remote candidates will be considered if the fit is right
  • Role starts as soon as possible, ideally by mid to late June (Posted June 5th)

This is a deeply cross-functional, high-visibility role. You’ll work closely with team leads across departments, help manage internal operations, facilitate strategic planning, and support relationships with key stakeholders like investors and partners.

Full Stack Engineer

Salary: $50,000 - $150,000 + Equity
Location: Los Angeles Preferred

Role Description:

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help scale Allstora’s core product and platform. You’ll work directly with our Head of Product Engineering to design, build, and ship systems that power our book clubs, community, commerce, and internal tools.

You’ll contribute across the stack — from customer-facing experiences to the data and infrastructure that support them — in a fast-moving, product-led startup environment.

What You'll Work On:

  • Architecting and building new product features for our host and subscriber experience
  • Developing and refining internal tools for book club operations and growth
  • Improving data flows, observability, and reporting across the platform
  • Supporting core platform stability, from APIs to deployments
  • Collaborating throughout the product lifecycle

Our Stack:

  • Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
  • Backend: Supabase, PostgreSQL, AWS Lambdas, CDK, Node.js
  • Data: Redshift, QuickSight
  • Commerce: Shopify, GraphQL, REST APIs
  • Infra: Vercel, AWS

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong full-stack engineering skills — you can ship end-to-end
  • Experience with React/Next.js + modern backend systems
  • Familiarity with data systems (SQL, ETL) is a plus
  • You care about what we’re building, not just the code
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ownership
  • A focus on quality, stability, and sustainability

We’re open to a range of experience levels. If you’re earlier in your career but hungry to learn, ship, and build great systems, we want to hear from you.

We care more about your mindset, product sense, and commitment to quality than a perfect stack match. If you can learn fast and build thoughtfully, you’ll thrive here.

Why Join Now:

  • You’ll work directly with leadership (not layers of PMs)
  • You’ll help shape how we build
  • You’ll work on a product that’s already delivering value and scaling fast
  • You’ll help build a system that lasts

If this sounds like your kind of shop, reach out. We’d love to talk.
