What a page turner. This climax of the series has you hooked right from the start, bringing all your favourite characters from the previous books together to fight a common enemy. Its impossible to put down, can't wait for part two.

This book picks up 8 years after the shock ending at the end of A Stone of Destiny and Despair, and we reunite with all our main characters, including Vireo, Jordell, Zerina, Ulrik, Orjan, and Morgana, and see how they have been affected and have changed over these years. We see Levanthria's own version of the Avengers begin to take form, and characters from previous books, meetings and reuniting. Some characters have fallen into darkness and despair, whilst others have sought to rise up and have risen up agaisnt the darkness. The Book also contains AP Beswick's signature twists, with the last chapter having a huge revelation, followed by an action that will forever change the world of Levanthria. The book is very much a prelude to the storm, with different characters taking actions that will put them at the proverbial Gates of Mordor, that will be the final battle in Part 2. All in all, a great book, and a great prelude to Part 2.
