Critical Reviews

"This fun, informative book is a wonderful way to explore the world for students and adults alike... A change from more western-focused map books we often see, this book looks at the world as a whole... Eschewing mercator maps, in this book (as in the real world), Africa dwarfs Europe, and a giant Greenland features a callout that it's the largest island in the world." - Youth Services Book Review (Starred Review)

"[C]olorful and informative... The real draw of the book is an illustration of every national flag along with facts about respective symbols... Those curious about cartography and vexillology will enjoy browsing through this volume." - School Library Journal
