Critical Reviews

"Some [scenarios] like invasions of aliens or demons, are entertainingly improbable... Stebleva plays along with melodramatic scenes of devastated landscapes, wildfires, angry rioters, and supernatural frights. All the while, racially diverse young survivors busily stock elaborate underground bunkers... defiantly face a zombie attack... Thrilling reading for armchair survivalists." -Kirkus Reviews

"Zombie outbreak, asteroid strike, or alien invasion? No problem! Coauthors Hardy and Coonradt... help young survivalists prepare for almost any kind of emergency in this lively guide for the end of times... this tongue-in-cheek manual [has a]... direct but amusing style and boldly colored, action-packed illustrations... While some topics poke fun at Hollywood-inspired calamities... there's also a wealth of information for weathering real-life natural disasters." -Booklist

"An enjoyable, over-the-top spin on preparing for world-altering events in this graphic guide geared towards middle-grade readers... Coonradt and Hardy maintain an upbeat tone that encourages collaboration over self-isolation... [their] high-spirited and helpful survival tips offer food for thought (and a heavy dose of humor)."-School Library Journal
