Brigitte Weninger was born in Kufstein, Austria, and worked for 30 years as a nursery school teacher before devoting herself full-time to writing. She has published more than 70 books, which have been translated into 40 different languages and have won many awards. She also spends much of her time furthering the cause of reading, writing, and the narrative arts. She still lives in Kufstein. Eve Tharlet was born in Alsace, France, grew up in Germany, and studied at the École supérieure des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg. She has been illustrating books since 1981, and has won numerous awards. She has become famous among children and grown-ups all over the world for the Davy books. She lives and works in Brittany. David Henry Wilson, born in London, is a playwright, novelist, children's book author, and translator. His plays have been produced in many well-known theaters in Great Britain as well as abroad, and his children's books--especially the Jeremy James series--have been translated into many languages. His novel The Coachman Rat received critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. For many years he lectured at the universities of Bristol (England) and Konstanz (Germany), where he founded the university theater. His translations from French and German cover many subjects, ranging from literary theory, art, travel, and general culture to children's novels and picture books.
