Refreshingly Accessible, Extremely Empowering, Delightfully Readabe (Jeff Civillico)
I've had the pleasure of seeing Jess Pettitt shine on stage, and this book is Jess in written form- unique, honest, direct, insightful, and hilarious.
While reading "Almost Doing Good," you're going to think a lot, you're going to laugh a lot, and you're going to come away from it a little more cognizant of what you say and do, how you act, and why that matters.
This book is filled with practical, actionable advice that anyone can and should implement to shape more inclusive humans, teams, organizations- to shape a better world.
"Almost Doing Good: Doing the Best That You Can with What You Have Some of the Time" is-
1) Refreshingly Accessible - Jess' idea of taking even imperfect action, of "almost-ing" as a critical step towards growth and progress makes this work feel achievable.
2) Extremely Empowering- Jess' "Do-Good Triangle" framework- Prepare, Recognize, Respond- is manageable and easy to understand, and implement.
3) Delightfully Readable- the dozens of relatable case studies and examples, the conversational tone, the fun layout with doodles and diagrams all make this book a JOY to read.
Visually, it's creative, unique and FUN. Verbally, it reads like you're hanging out with Jess.... which if you have- on stage or off- you know is a treat: )
