Description

The Vorkosigan Saga: Two Tales

"Winterfair Gifts"

In the elaborate preparations for Lord Miles Vorkosigan and his fiancée Ekaterin's Winterfair wedding on their home planet Barrayar, not just Miles's friends but also his enemies are at work. Miles's newest Armsman, the shy Roic, and Miles's old comrade, the genetically engineered Sergeant Taura, confront the sinister plot, and may just find a romance of their own.

"The Flowers of Vashnoi"

Still new to her duties as Lady Vorkosigan, Ekaterin is working together with expatriate scientist Enrique Borgos on a radical scheme to recover the lands of the Vashnoi exclusion zone, lingering radioactive legacy of the Cetagandan invasion of the planet Barrayar. When Enrique's experimental bioengineered creatures go missing, the pair discover that the zone still conceals deadly old secrets.
