WHAT'S BURIED BENEATH THE EARTH...
It's the hottest year on record, with the drought stretching into its third month. When an environmental scientist is tasked with evaluating the impact of a controversial new wind farm on the West Yorkshire moors, she soon discovers signs of devastation. Camped out alone at the base of Turbine 34, which was built on an ancient peat bog, she begins to see things that shouldn't be there and hears unknown sounds howling in the night.
She has dedicated her life to protecting the moor, but will it protect her?

Critical Reviews
"A disturbing and thought-provoking novella set in a time-shifting landscape poisoned by ecological vandalism and human trauma." Andrew Michael Hurley, author of Barrowbeck and Starve Acre
"Deeply affecting and profound, this accomplished novella oozes mystery and menace as it delves into the horrors of the past - and of the present." Essie Fox, author of Dangerous and The Fascination
"Cli-fi meets Wuthering Heights. Like the peat of the moorlands, this novella is darkly beautiful, multi-layered, and disturbed. It will get under your fingernails." Clare Pollard, author of The Modern Fairies
"Frightening and vivid - a siren song to humanity set against a much-loved and endangered landscape. I'll be thinking about this for a long time." Stacey Halls, author of The Household and Mrs England
"A powerful, beautifully written tale told with exquisite tenderness. The haunting story of a woman lost to herself who, as darkness closes in, unearths the truth of her life." Suzannah Dunn, author of Levitation for Beginners
