Carolina Bรบzio is an illustrator and animator. Her favorite part of the illustration process is the coloring stage: whenever she puts two unexpected colors together that work well, she gets butterflies in her stomach. Born in the lovely seaside town of Porto, Portugal, she currently lives with her partner in Berlin, Germany.

Begin with the board books. Most of us do, after all. Now I'm sure you've your fair share of first word titles. Like tiny little dictionaries, they are. This series is a little different. They aren't first word books but first "phrase" books. Kind of a cool idea, right? And yes. Don't worry. There's definitely a mirror at the end.--Betsy Bird, School Library Journal
