Description

A Tapestry for the Soul takes the Introduction to the Zohar (as translated in In the Shadow of the Ladder) as its main thread, from its beginning to its end. Excerpts from Rabbi Ashlag's other writings are skillfully placed throughout, in order to explain the Introduction to the Zohar in depth. This is a totally innovative way of teaching. The benefits thus obtained include the fact that the reader can follow Rabbi Ashlag's thought directly, without the need for an intermediary to explain his ideas, thus enabling direct contact between the Master Kabbalist and the reader. Now, even the beginner is able to learn from authentic Kabbalah texts.

She teaches at a gifted children's college in Northern Israel and appears frequently on Israel National Radio.

Critical Reviews

"Yedidah Cohen has performed a wonderful service in making available to an English- speaking audience this Introduction ot the Zohar by one of the modern masters of Jewish mysticism, the late Rabbi Yehudah Lev Ashlag. Read it and it will help open your eyes to the infinite radiance that fills the world and the seeking soul. A life-changing work." --Sir Jonathon Sacks, chief rabbi, United Hebrew Congregations of Great Britain and the Commonwealth

"This is a text to read, savor, contemplate and learn from again and again. If you are interested in authentic Jewish kabbalah, this book is a must-have. Reading it is like having Rabbi Ashlag in the room with you." --Rabbi Yonnasan Gershom

"Unique and refreshing work. A valuable alternative to the vast amount of spurious 'kabbala' available." --Jerusalem Post
