Yvette Blake's writing takes you back to a caring, neighborly way of pioneer life. I enjoyed both of the first books in this series, Big Move and Miracle. If you enjoy rooting for a pure soul who endures much, but has strength and perserverence to carry on and reap good things through forgiveness, these are for you.

I LOVED this book. I couldn't put it down and it was difficult to do my other chores during the day because all I wanted to do was read this book. This is a wonderfully written story about the American West, pioneers, love, tragedy and how doing the right thing brings blessings in ways that cannot be understood at the time. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to be published. I can't wait to read what Cassie does next. Yvette Blake is an amazing author who brings the distant past to life. Her writing style is easy to read and easy to love.
