Not all minor health problems--colds, coughs, minor cuts, sore throats--require immediate medical attention, as they can often be remedied with a few items most people have at home. The Mayo Clinic Home Remedies Book offers easy, safe, and fully approved treatment options. It also teaches you how to identify symptoms that require urgent attention and provides tips and tricks for providing first aid. While this guide is not intended to replace medical advice, it can serve as a first step in recognizing and treating the symptoms of conditions such as allergies, insomnia, dizziness, heartburn, gastroenteritis, diarrhea, high blood pressure, conjunctivitis, insect bites, and many more. The Home Remedies Book also addresses steps you can take to help minimize the symptoms of more serious chronic illnesses and conditions, such as fibromyalgia, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
