The traditional Christmas story is a narrative that is vividly recognizable to countless millions, both Christians and non-believers alike.

In reality, however, many of our traditional Christmas images and beliefs (including Joseph's "terrible" planning) may actually convey a flawed rendition of Jesus' birth.
