-A masterpiece! Gael does an outstanding job of introducing us to characters who can teach valuable life lessons. Wonderful read for intermediate/middle school age children. Highly recommend! I look forward to seeing future publications from this talented author!

-Great book about Ivy, friends, being bullied, Grandma wanting to get rid of her dog, and keeping alive memories of her mom. Ivy's sisters are there for her when she needs them and as things get tough with Ivy being bullied at school she finds she has others looking out for her. Ivy finds out that others have their own difficulties in their lives and by helping out and talking about problems, things just might get better.

-Readers will ache for eleven-year-old Ivy Leigh who lost her mom one year ago. How can Ivy face all the challenges that come with turning twelve without her mom to guide her-wearing makeup, buying her first training bra, and going out with a boy? Even her two older sisters, her dad, her grandma, and her best friends want Ivy to be more than she's ready for. It doesn't help that Ivy's rescue dog, Peaches, is always into mischief, or that a bully pushes her too far, or that her rain-drenched clothes make her the target for ridicule at school. We ride a roller-coaster of ups and downs as Ivy deals with angers, emotions, and understanding of the people around her. As Ivy finds her strengths, she realizes that she's not alone, that she has an awesome support system, and that her mom would want her to move forward. The author, Gael Lynch, leaves us with hope and love for Ivy Leigh Ever After.

-This book was a really fun read. Ivy Leigh and her dog Peachy are a riot. The story is a page turner as it addresses topics relevant to 5th and 6th graders, - bullying, difficult siblings, growing up, friendship and loss. Ivy gets into all sorts of trouble as she navigates being bullied at school while desperately missing her mother. The author steers us through the complexity of Ivy Leigh's emotions in an unusually authentic way. The story quickly builds to several dramatic confrontations. Seeing Ivy gather the courage to stand up for herself had me both tearing up and cheering her on. One note. Don't let the cover fool you. This book is more for older middle schoolers.
