Joshua Niven, photographer and former Appalachian Trail thru-hiker, and Amber Adams Niven, writer and section hiker, are the coauthors of Discovering the Appalachian Trail (Falcon, 2022). Southern natives rooted in the mountains of Madison County, North Carolina, they run Camp Happy Mundo, a private retreat for nature lovers and creative spirits. Together, they also co-create Good Morning Appalachia, a multimedia project that celebrates the soul of mountain life.
