A fun picture book about friendship and the importance of slowing down and appreciating the small things in life.

Eddie the Scooter Dog loves nothing more than to go superfast on his scooter, feeling the wind in his ears as he zooms past the other dogs. He's shooting down the steepest hill in town and CRASH! Eddie collides with his friend Thelma the tortoise and breaks his scooter.

On the walk home, Thelma points out lots of interesting sights that Eddie missed in his hurry--a cat with a bow, a gnome with a snail on its head, and even a cloud that looks like a dog's bone!
