The story is about a dad taking his two sons, Cowboy and Rick, fishing all over from the ocean to river to lake to ponds to rocks off the jetties in the bay. The boys were always excited to fish from different spots in Texas as well as other parts, ready for the challenge of catching and studying, and looking at caught fish - analyzing and probing the fish until the dad would tell them to throw them back in the water - on a pier or on a boat ride they were always happy to go fishing.
