Critical Reviews

In this story of animals on a search for gold, complete with humorous twist ending, each page-turn separates the two parts of a compound noun ("DRAGON.../...FLY"; "SUN.../...FLOWER"). The clever concept adds a tactile element to learning that compound nouns are combinations of two shorter words. Cheerful pastel-hued illustrations add appeal.
