Description

Twelve-year-old Dory thought that detention with her frenemy, Mayling, and the school pest, Norman, was the worst thing that could happen to her...but she couldn't be more wrong.

While the detention trio cleans the science storage room, Dory accidentally drops an old glass jug that shatters and a foul-smelling, snake-like shadow escapes. Dory tries to convince herself that it was some kind of strange gas and that what she saw was just a hallucination. But then she catches a glimpse of the eerie shadow in a neighbor's garden, and soon garden vegetables, cats and even kids begin disappearing in her town. Only when she translates the broken bottle's label does she understand what she has done: By dropping the old glass jug, she has released the most malevolent of evil witches. Putting the witch back into a bottle is the only solution--but what if there's more than one witch loose in Brimley?
