    Gus Kenworthy

    Gus Kenworthy is a British-American freestyle skier who won the silver medal in slopestyle at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi as part of a historic US sweep of the podium. He made history the following year when he came out in an ESPN Magazine cover story, becoming the first openly gay professional action sports athlete. In 2018 when he went back to the Olympics for the second time he, alongside Adam Rippon, became the first openly gay man to compete in a Winter Olympics for Team USA.

    Beyond athletics, Kenworthy has expanded his career into acting, appearing in "American Horror Story: 1984" and the remake of “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead” among other productions. He's an active advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, and in 2019 he completed the 545-mile AIDS/ Life Cycle ride and raised a quarter of a million dollars for the cause and he’s participating in the ride again this year! Beyond that he’s partnered with many organizations like The Trevor Project and now, Allstora, and through his own Worthy Foundation, he continues to support LGBTQ+ youth initiatives. In 2021 his then-home, a design-forward penthouse in Los Angeles was featured in Architectural Digest, showcasing his love of contemporary art and interior design.

    The timing of your order determines when you'll receive your first book. Orders placed between the 1st and 14th of the month will get the book within a week. If you order on or after the 15th, you'll receive the following month's selection, which will be shipped out at the end of the month regardless of the date of your order.

    By signing up for a quarterly subscription, you’ll receive one curated book every three months. Depending on when you place your first order, you’ll be in one of three cycles. 

    Cycle 1: January, April, July, October

    Cycle 2: February, May, August, November

    Cycle 3: March, June, September, December

    As with our other book clubs, if you don’t like the book that quarter, you can swap it for a gift card equivalent to the value of your subscription. 

    In months when you aren’t receiving a book, you’ll still have access to our online community and content. If you want a book pick but are not set to renew that month, you can purchase the book through our site with your complimentary 30% off discount. It will still come as our book club bundle and include the perks. :)

    You can cancel anytime after your first renewal. Just make sure to cancel before the 15th of the month to avoid being automatically renewed for the next cycle. If you’d like to continue getting 30% off all books on our site, you’ll need to sign up for an Allstora membership separately.

    For monthly book club subscriptions, you will be billed on the 15th of each month for the next month’s pick, regardless of the date you first subscribe. For example, if you sign up on the 10th, you will get the current month’s book, then be billed again on the 15th for the upcoming month’s book pick. If you’d like to skip your next billing, email info@allstora.com or go to Manage Book Clubs under My Allstora.

    For quarterly book club subscriptions, you will be billed every three months on the 15th for the next month’s book pick. Depending on the month you sign up, you’ll be on one of three billing cycles.

    Cycle 1: January, April, July, October

    Cycle 2: February, May, August, November

    Cycle 3: March, June, September, December

    The next selection for Gus Kenworthy's Book Club will be announced on March 15. After that, all selections will be announced monthly on the 15th of the month prior. If you're not interested in a particular month's book selection, you have the option to skip that month's shipment and receive a gift card for the equivalent amount. If you'd like to opt for the gift card, you have until the 17th to let us know. Plus, if you swap your book for a gift card, you'll still have access to the subscribers-only content portal.

    When you sign up for a Book Club subscription, our system will automatically cancel your membership, so you aren’t paying double! Membership is a complimentary perk of any Book Club subscription.
