Women are the future of American business. According to a recent Nielsen report, women will control two-thirds of American consumer wealth in less than a decade. And yet almost all business and success literature is still written for men--dispensing advice that doesn't take into account women's unique strengths or address the demands of family life on mothers. Think and Grow Rich for Women is a powerful new book--from the award-winning author of Think and Grow Rich: Three Feet from Gold and coauthor of the multimillion-selling Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It combines Hill's classic Thirteen Steps to Success with case studies of noteworthy women (including Sandra Day O'Connor, Maya Angelou, Katie Couric, Caroline Kennedy, Madonna, Oprah Winfrey, Margaret Thatcher, Condoleezza Rice, J. K. Rowling, Barbara De Angelis, Marianne Williamson, Angela Merkel, Mary Kay Ash, IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, and many more), outlining a master plan for success for all women. -
Monday Morning Mentoring: Ten Lessons to Guide You Up the Ladder
Everyone who wants a fulfilling career needs a mentor -- someone who has seen it all before, someone who can share hard-won experiences and teach valuable lessons.
In this expanded and enhanced version of his best-selling book, Monday Morning Leadership, David Cottrell packs all of the wisdom of his wide-ranging business experience into this inspirational story. Cottrell introduces us to Jeff, a successful corporate manager who has hit a major wall. Jeff has been leading his team, quarter after quarter, to great sales and better profits for several years -- until now. The tricks that used to work wonders have lost their magic; Jeff is in a slump and is at a loss to find his way out of it.
Overworked, stressed, and feeling that his personal and professional lives are at risk, Jeff reaches out to the father of a college buddy, a retired and tremendously accomplished former executive named Tony. Tony and Jeff agree to meet every Monday for ten weeks to work through Jeff's problems and get his career back on track.
In the course of these intimate sessions, Jeff discovers the secrets of real leadership: "Until I accept total responsibility -- no matter what -- I will not be able to put plans in place to accomplish my goals." And, "My success is the result of making better choices and recovering quickly from poor choices."
Tony leads Jeff through tough lessons in how to manage his people, how to manage his own time, how to manage his superiors, and how to escape from "management land." Most of all, Jeff learns that his success is intimately bound with the success of his people and that tolerating lackluster performance in himself and others on the team only leads to discontent from his most prized and productive employees.
Through Jeff's mentoring sessions, the reader meets a character of integrity who dispenses homespun but effective wisdom. Spend time with Tony and Jeff at their Monday morning meetings, and you will find yourself on the road to becoming a better leader and being more successful at work.

Hyperefficient: Optimize Your Brain to Transform the Way You Work
Science-backed advice on how to get your mind working at peak efficiency, all day, every day We all know how to nudge our brains to perform better. A strong cup of coffee helps us get through a dull meeting, and a brisk walk helps us think more clearly. But what if those nudges could work even harder? What if we could optimize our brains to improve our focus, process information with ease, and become "hyperefficient," without feeling fatigue? Brain doctor Dr. Mithu Storoni explains that our brains function like a car's engine, with multiple gears that put our brains in optimal mode for different mental challenges, such as complex thinking, creativity, concentration and decision-making. Drawing on the latest research, she shows us how to seamlessly shift our brains into the best gear for the tasks we need to be doing. Instead of unthinkingly imposing the rhythm of our daily tasks on our brains, Dr. Storoni proposes we instead impose the rhythm of our brains on our work. This easy-to-follow advice will help you perform at your best throughout the day, every day. -
Not Impossible: Do What Can't Be Done
Discover the "road map to changing your life by changing the lives of others" (Jillian Michaels, New York Times bestselling author) with the eye-opening and inspirational story of how one person--a film producer by trade and an optimist by nature--accidentally realized that no problem is unsolvable with a little bit of DIY. As an enthusiastic participant in the Maker Movement, Mick Ebeling has found countless ways to create new, simple, do-it-yourself technologies. But Ebeling has always dreamed big and soon realized that by ignoring that little voice of doubt in his head, his hobby could have the potential to actually help people surmount seemingly impossible odds. From crafting prosthetics for a young Sudanese boy who lost his hands in a bombing to a machine that allowed a paralyzed artist to draw again, Ebeling soon saw that nothing is actually impossible. Now, he shares his fascinating accomplishments including the creation of the Eyewriter--a device that tracks eye movements and translates them onto a screen, allowing them to be painted on a canvas or printed into a 3D sculpture. A true testament to the power of determination, Not Impossible is the launching pad for you to uncover your abilities to change the world, too. Bursting with optimism and new ideas, "this is the template for a new science of consciousness. Mick Ebeling sees impossible just as a word for something not yet done. Read his book. Think like him. Then do the impossible" (Deepak Chopra). -

It's Not You, It's What Happened to You: Complex Trauma and Treatment
With It's Not You, It's What Happened to You: Complex Trauma and Treatment, Dr. Christine Courtois has simplified her extensive and, until now, quite scholarly work geared toward understanding and developing the concept of "complex trauma," and the assessment and treatment thereof. A universally acknowledged leader in this emerging psychotherapeutic field, Dr. Courtois provides here an abbreviated and easy-to-read explanation of what complex trauma is, how it develops, the ways in which it manifests, and how it can effectively be dealt with. The book opens with an explanation of trauma in general-providing historical perspective, examining the various types of traumatic experience, and looking in-depth at the chronic, repetitive, and layered forms of trauma that often build upon and reinforce one another to create complex trauma. Next Dr. Courtois discusses trauma-driven emotional turmoil, and trauma's effects on memory, self-image, relationships, and even physical wellbeing. She then provides readers with a basic understanding of the ways in which complex trauma is diagnosed and assessed, with an explanation of all common trauma-related diagnoses-including stress disorders (such as PTSD), dissociative reactions and disorders, and frequently co-occurring issues (addictions, self-injury, sleep disorders, etc.) In the book's final section, Dr. Courtois presents rudimentary information about the ways in which complex trauma and related issues can effectively be treated, including brief explanations of all psychotherapeutic methods that might be used. Importantly, she discusses in detail the sequenced, three-stage treatment model she has developed for work with addicted survivors of complex trauma, recognizing that complex trauma and addictions are often interrelated in powerful ways, and unless both issues are addressed simultaneously, the client may not heal from either. Though It's Not You, It's What Happened to You is written for people new to the concept of complex trauma and how it may be affecting them or a loved one, clinicians will also find the work useful, relying on it as a way to bolster their own knowledge and, perhaps more importantly, as a tool for informing their traumatized clients about the degree and nature of the psychotherapeutic work to come. -

The Kama Sutra (Royal Collector's Edition) (Annotated) (Case Laminate Hardcover with Jacket)
The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian Hindu text written by Vātsyāyana. It is widely considered to be the standard work on human sexual behaviour in Sanskrit literature. A portion of the work consists of practical advice on sexual intercourse. "Kāma" which is one of the four goals of Hindu life, means desire including sexual desire the latter being the subject of the textbook, and "sūtra" literally means a thread or line that holds things together, and more metaphorically refers to a formula in the form of a manual.
Contrary to western popular perception, the Kama Sutra is not exclusively a sex manual; it presents itself as a guide to a virtuous and gracious living that discusses the nature of love, family life and other aspects pertaining to pleasure oriented faculties of human life. Kama Sutra, in parts of the world, is presumed or depicted as a synonym for creative sexual positions. Much of the book is about the philosophy and theory of love, what triggers desire, what sustains it, and how and when it is good or bad.
This case laminate collector's edition includes a Victorian inspired dust-jacket.

Heal Your Past to Manifest Your Future: Trauma-Informed Practices to Release Emotional Blocks and Open to Life's Possibilities
An empowering guide to help you heal the pain of the past, find emotional balance, and achieve the abundance, success, and happiness you deserve.
Has anyone ever told you that you can make good things happen if you just think positively? The law of attraction, which is largely based on the idea that positive thoughts and emotions attract positive outcomes--is one of the most popular self-help movements of the last few decades. But if you've experienced trauma, you may struggle to think positively, or feel too anxious to believe in an abundant and joyful future. This is especially true if you have unhealed childhood trauma.
Written by a psychologist and trauma expert, Heal Your Past to Manifest Your Future acknowledges the profound impact of past trauma on your ability to imagine, move toward, and create a life you truly love; and offers a three-step process to regulate your nervous system, "reparent" your inner child, and rewire your brain to open to new possibilities.
If you've been curious about manifestation but are wary of the "hashtag blessed" and "good vibes only" aspects of this practice that are so often front and center on social media, this compassionate guide offers a unique, trauma-sensitive approach to help you heal the past, release emotional blocks, reclaim a sense of safety and hope, and make your dreams a reality.
